Bryan Fedrick
Bryan Fedrick is a renowned wildlife conservationist in Mississippi with over 18 years of experience in the field. He holds an Associate of Arts in Forestry, a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Science, and a Master of Science in Environmental Science. Since 2011, Bryan has worked for the Mississippi Army National Guard and currently serves as the Natural Resources Program Manager for the state. In this role, he oversees all natural resources management activities on Department of Defense properties in Mississippi, covering approximately 13,000 acres in north Mississippi on Camp McCain and approximately 15,500 acres in south Mississippi on Camp Shelby. Bryan consults with regulatory agencies to mitigate potential conflicts arising from military training activities and natural resources management, including Threatened/Endangered Species. He also participates in numerous outreach education events annually, teaching courses for the Mississippi State University Master Naturalist Classes, multiple Hunter Education Courses, and engaging with school groups and boy scouts. Bryan is a Certified Wildlife Biologist® through the Wildlife Society, and his program was awarded the United States Fish and Wildlife Service Military Conservation Partnership Award in 2021. He is a prescribed fire manager certified through the Mississippi Forestry Commission and a wildland firefighter type 2 through the National Wildland Fire Coordinating Group. Bryan is a field associate with the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, a certified trapper with the Fur Takers of America, and a certified QDMA Deer Steward Level I and II. He is also an avid outdoorsman who resides in Clinton, MS, with his wife Megan and son J.D. In 2018, Bryan was honored with the Mississippi Wildlife Federation Wildlife Conservationist of the Year award for his exceptional work in the field of wildlife conservation in Mississippi.
