Job Description
CEMML is a research, education, and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University (CSU). CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DoD) and other public lands. We provide technical support, conduct applied research, and offer career development and learning opportunities to support resource stewardship. We collaborate with our sponsors and within CSU to resolve complex environmental issues.

The Natural Resources Technician will provide support to the Eielson AFB natural resources program through various surveys, invasive species management, and recreation area management. Survey tasks will include the completion of acoustic bat and migratory bird surveys. They will also assist with the monitoring and management of invasive plant species, which will require the use of chainsaws and brush cutters; and they will assist with recreational areas and trail maintenance. Please note backcountry hiking and camping will be required. The majority of the work will be conducted outdoors and will entail either working alongside other technicians with mentorship from Eielson biologist and USFWS staff.
